This is a one of a kind necklace with two authentic antique religious medals from Kluisbergen, Belgium and one replica done in lost cast waxing hanging from hand wire wrapped pyrite chain with a gold toggle clasp.
Product Detail
The large medal is called “DECORS OF THE APPARITION OF NOTRE DAME OF LOURDES.” At the bottom of the front of the medal is the Marial monogram of Notre Dame of Lourdes. The reverse side of the medal is inscribed in French: “Souvenir of Notre Dame of Lourdes.” The medal measures .85″ inch and is done in a beautiful silver plated vintage patina.
The medium size medal is called “THE SACRED HEART OF JESUS.” It has splendid detailed decor & christian symbolism. The medal dates to the early 1900’s. The inscription on the front is in Latin: “SACRED HEART OF JESUS HAVE MERCY ON US” and is engraved with ” MONTMARTRE ” (in reference to the Sacred Heart Basilica in Paris – France). The reverse side inscription is in Latin and reads: “PENITENT & DEVOTIONAL FRANCE TO THE SACRED HEART OF JESUS.” The medal measures 1.58″ inch and is done in a beautiful antique bronze patina silver plated.
The small medal is a replica from a French art Nouveau original. The medal was handmade done in lost cast waxing.
